Me: “hello?”
Caller: “buenos tardes” (good afternoon)
Me: “uh… hola.”
Caller: (unintelligible spanish)
Me: “wha?”
Caller: (more unintelligble spanish)
Me: “uh… i only speak english…”
Caller: “You tink it funny?”
Me: “Excuuuse me?”
Caller: “You tink it funny?”
…
Me: … (hangs up)
… i need to work on my spanish.
I get spanish callers sometimes that are all like.
“tu hablar espanol?”
ME: No, me hablar no espanol. Detuvo un momento por favor.”
and they always hang up. My spanish is horrid though, so I don’t know why I bother, even trying to get them to hold on a moment so I can transfer them to the spanish line.
